• The house is set up with Solar panels and 2 x 10kw batteries.

• All appliances including fans and air conditioners are connected to the solar system and will work should there be an interruption in the electricity supply.

• The solar can support responsible use of air conditioners, but we recommend not leaving the air conditioners on full time to avoid potential power outages.

• The solar system is housed inside a locked storage room in the courtyard, if there is an issue, please contact either Amber or Les.

• The planters are set up with an automated irrigation system. The sprinklers will go on at 06:00 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

• There are 3 watering holes around the house, 1 next to the berm, 1 opposite the pool pump and 1 in the riverbed below the firepit. Please keep them full of water during your stay. The animals enjoy stopping by for a drink.

The water is safe to drink, however we have installed a filtered water tap next to the main mixer on the island. We use it for cooking, drinking and to fill the ice trays.

• The air conditioners are connected to the solar system and will work should the electricity supply be interrupted.

• Please do not leave the air conditioners running when you are not in a room or at the house. They draw a lot of energy and will deplete the batteries.

• We recommend you run the air conditioners before you retire for the night and switch off once you are in bed. With the fans on, the rooms should remain cool for the night.
